Explore our airtime offerings
Honeywell has joined forces with a broad spectrum of leading airtime service providers that enables us to develop the right solution for any operator, regardless of mission. Honeywell Forge Connectivity Services are system agnostic, meaning they work equally well with any airtime service provider.
Jet ConneX – Ka-Band Jet ConneX – Ka-Band from Inmarsat provides reliable high-speed broadband connectivity with global coverage (except for the poles), even on transoceanic flights. Jet ConneX has speeds of 4.6-15 Mbps and was the first Ka-Band service to offer operators guaranteed data rates. Various subscription-based airtime packages are available, which can be tailored to match your needs. Also available are a unique “pay-as-you-go” plan and JX-Pro, which provides unlimited use and speeds up to 33 percent higher than were previously available to business aircraft users. SwiftBroadband SwiftBroadband from Inmarsat provides global voice and high-speed data capabilities simultaneously, through a single hardware installation. Operators can select from a portfolio of SwiftBroadband services offering a range of capabilities to meet aircraft size and communications requirements, including high-quality voice and a combination of always-on data and guaranteed connection rates. Speeds range up to 432 Kbps in standard configurations and as high as 600 Kbps with Xstream or high data-rate options. |
Inmarsat Classic Aero Services Inmarsat Classic Aero Services are available over the Inmarsat I-3 and I-4 satellites. Aero H provides packet data rates of up to 10.5 Kbps for ACARS, FANS and ATN communications and up to 9.6 Kbps per channel for multi-channel voice, fax and data links through a high gain-antenna – anywhere in the global beams of the I-3 satellites. Aero H+ offers all the features of Aero H, but uses the I-3 regional spot beams and 4.8 Kbps voice codecs to deliver voice services at lower cost. Outside of regional spot beams, Aero H+ terminals operate in the global beams in the same way as standard Aero H systems. Aero H+ is also available in the full I-4 satellite footprint. |

ViaSat Ka-Band ViaSat Ka-Band provides high-speed broadband coverage using the ViaSat-3 satellite constellation. Viasat now provides service without speed limits. Typical speeds greater than 20 Mbps range and committed speeds of 8 Mbps. ViaSat gives business jet passengers a true “office in the sky” user experience, including the ability to stream live video within the current coverage area. |
ViaSat Ku-Band Advanced ViaSat Ku-Band Advanced provides speeds up to 10 Mbps, depending on the selected service plan. The service offers high-quality connectivity over the world’s most heavily traveled routes. ViaSat’s network of high-speed satellites delivers an excellent internet experience. |
ViaSat Dual Band ViaSat Dual Band leverages both Ka-Band and Ku-Band networks to provide uninterrupted connectivity. The system is designed to provide the fastest speeds available by continuously navigating between Ka-Band and Ku-Band networks. |

The Global Iridium Network Iridium’s unique, crosslinked mesh architecture creates a web of coverage encompassing 100% of the planet from Low Earth Orbit, providing low-latency, weather resilient services unlike any other satellite provider. From wheels up to wheels down, no other network matches the reach, coverage, and reliability of Iridium – regardless of flight path. Iridium Voice Iridium narrowband aviation services improve aircraft safety, streamline operations, and allow for reliable, efficient communication between crew members, air traffic control, and ground crews. The reliable Iridium network provides unmatched coverage on the ground and in the air, with competitive universal rates and Secure Air Traffic Control/Aeronautical Operational Control (ATC/AOC) communications for Safety Voice and Future Air Navigation System (FANS). Onboard crews can quickly communicate in-flight incidents, equipment malfunctions, and medical emergencies to ground teams. Short Burst Data® (SBD®) Iridium SBD delivers vital two-way connectivity for real-time operating data, including aircraft tracking, alerts, alarms, weather and environmental charts, route and air traffic information, and black box data streaming. Crew members can communicate logistics with ground teams to make airline operations more efficient and reduce ground-time with the delivery of inventory and restocking information, ground-crew emergency alerting, and airline maintenance monitoring from onboard. |
Iridium Certus® Leveraging the power of Iridium’s global, L-band network, Iridium Certus will deliver high-performance aviation services from the cockpit to the cabin with speeds ranging up to 704 Kbps*. Through a small-form-factor, low-profile antenna, Iridium Certus will be ideal for aircraft operators looking to keep crew and passengers connected – supporting email, internet, voice and data communications, around the world. Value Added Services Available with your Airtime Plan
Data Optimization Tools
Honeywell Forge includes a wide range of data management features that help you manage data use and reduce cost, with little or no impact on the user experience. These include features that enable you to easily allocate charges to particular passengers, departments or devices; control the type of content sent and received during flight; and manage the bandwidth allocated to different uses, including video streaming.
Data Control
Control the amount of bandwidth that streaming video and other large data drainers consume. This enables you to use less-expensive data plans while still delivering quality videoconferencing and entertainment for passengers. This provides a significant cost benefit to operators and ensures that adequate bandwidth is available for all onboard network, voice and data traffic. The data control feature can be used per device, per aircraft tail and per fleet.
Media
Television coverage as part of Honeywell Forge Cabin Connectivity services, which can be accessed and controlled with a single sign-on source for support. Services are available in high definition and can be customized to match customer’s preference for hardware and solutions. Here are some examples of what you can start watching:
Amazon Prime TV, HBO Now, Direct TV Now, Netflix and much more.
Access
Easy-to-use tool to manage in-flight Wi-Fi access and control data costs while still letting passengers connect to the internet, wherever and whenever they fly.
Service is enabled, passengers can access the internet through a custom portal, like those used by public internet providers like hotels, restaurants and airports.
Filter
Control the kinds of applications used on the airplane to make the most of the data you’re consuming and reduce delays caused by an overloaded network.
Country Lock
Allows customers to comply with and restrict data privacy and features for a certain country. You can also see country specific content, so it feels like you never left home.

We work hard to ensure all our offerings meet the most stringent industry standards and adhere to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) security framework. When you choose Honeywell Forge, you’re automatically protected from day one by our experienced cybersecurity team and our “always on” protection. We don’t charge extra for cybersecurity protection; it’s part of our basic offering. Honeywell cybersecurity experts are available to audit your cybersecurity protection and help match our unique capabilities to your specific security needs. We offer options to extend your corporate governance to the aircraft as needed. Honeywell developed the aviation industry’s first intrusion detection solution, which detects and alerts operators of attempts to infiltrate the network in real time and constantly displays the aircraft’s protection status on the Honeywell Forge dashboard. No other provider has yet fielded a fully functioning intrusion detection capability. |
Troubleshooting & Support
We’ve built smart diagnostic and problem-solving alerts into the Honeywell Forge platform. These predictive and prescriptive notifications not only alert you if there’s a problem, they suggest solutions that – in most cases – let you fix the problem yourself in no time at all. Of course, you can reach out anytime to our dedicated team of technical experts in connectivity, which is standing by to meet your needs in real time, anywhere in the world. We’re available 24/7/365 to help you choose the right hardware, solutions and services, or answer your connectivity question. There are many ways to reach us and we’re always available to take your call or answer your email. And if you need us to jump on a plane to lend a hand in person or provide a little on-site training, we can do that, too. |
