- Overview
As one of the longest-range business aircraft in its class, the Gulfstream GV is another popular choice among business travelers with almost 200 aircraft in production today. This smaller business jet can hold up to 16 passengers, being used by some of the most influential celebrities in the U.S. and is also a preferred choice in the U.S. military.
The Gulfstream GV is best known as the first ultra-range business aircraft among the Gulfstream fleet. With the power to travel at 6,000 nautical miles, the GV is used by several operators around the world because of its efficiency and reliability.
Honeywell’s 36-150 auxiliary power unit (APU) delivers one of the most dependable and highest performing APUs on the market by incorporating state-of-the-art technology and efficient engine design. Operators can fly confidently in their Gulfstream GV with an APU that is designed to add value and safety with a variety of small and medium range business jets all around the world flying with it today.
Gulfstream’s GV also offers pilots Honeywell’s Primus 440/660/880 weather radar systems. This light-weight configuration offers an integrated receiver transmitter and antenna to help pilots avoid bad weather conditions and improve their overall awareness. This system, coupled with the Mark V-A enhanced ground proximity system, increases the value of the GV cockpit while delivering a faster processor and increased memory.
Honeywell’s LASEREF IV inertial reference system is another feature that comes standard on the Gulfstream GV. This system utilizes an all-digital ring laser gyro based inertial reference system to provide ARINC 429 and aircraft standard communication bus digital outputs. Also, it uses a self-synchronizing data bus protocol in order to streamline data transferring.
