SmartSky is the first ATG network to let you access Honeywell Forge and its full suite of inflight connectivity and flight services capabilities. 

Honeywell is a value-added reseller of SmartSky, which rolled out in 2021 with performance up to 10-times better than other currently available ATG networks. Advanced communications technologies – including 4G and 5G capabilities – create a high-speed, low-latency and secure ATG experience that only SmartSky can deliver. Patented beam-forming technology enables customers to have the same great experience throughout the duration of their flight.

With SmartSky and Honeywell Forge, business aircraft operators deliver all the benefits of the modern connected aircraft to passengers, flight crews and maintenance teams.

Passengers stay connected anywhere they fly with high-speed connectivity that lets them send email, upload and download large files, teleconference and even play online games, almost anywhere they fly. The SmartSky network covers about 80% of business aviation flight routes in the continental U.S., with plans for full coverage by mid-2022.

Honeywell Forge includes a wide range of data management features that help you manage data use and reduce cost, with little or no impact on the user experience. These include features that enable you to easily allocate charges to particular passengers, departments or devices; control the type of content sent and received during flight; and manage the bandwidth allocated to different uses, including video streaming.

The SmartSky offering includes the best-in-class, next-generation ATG network, advanced hardware including radio and antennas that are lightweight and easy to install, and a transformational digital platform and application layer, Skytelligence®. Honeywell’s GoDirect Router can be used with the SmartSky Network to provide up to 5G network speed, performance, and reliability.
