Hypersonics pose challenging, constantly evolving threats to the US and allies. Countering them will require fast and impactful responses that deliver overmatch and deter aggressors.
However, flying at MACH 5 or faster creates a series of challenges.
CHALLENGE 1: Speed
Flying at more than 5 times the speed of sound creates unique challenges for tracking, identification, and engagement. Our solutions for space-based sensors and low-earth orbit satellites play an integral role in countering hypersonic threats.
