RNP-AR Procedures | Honeywell Aerospace Technology
RNP-AR Procedures | Honeywell Aerospace Technology
Utilize the full capabilities of your Honeywell avionics
Charted as “RNAV (RNP),” RNP-AR procedures are instrument approaches that take advantage of linear obstacle clearance surfaces based on navigation performance. Additionally, they allow for constant radius, curved flight paths (Radius-to-Fix [RF] legs) in any segment of the approach, including the final. The linear obstacle corridors, combined with curved flight paths, provide extreme flexibility in designing stable flight paths to runways where straight-in approaches aren’t possible.
“Special” RNP-AR Procedures
We provide special RNP-AR approaches that are only available to our approved customers.

Benefits of RNP-AR
- A stable approach to runways that cannot support a “straight-in” procedure.
- Improved access to airports such as Aspen (KASE), Eagle/Vail (KEGE), Bozeman (KBZN), Monterey (KMRY), Medford (KMFD), Atlanta Dekalb-Peachtree (KPDK), and Kathmandu, Nepal (VNKT).
- Deconflicting traffic at airports like Chicago Midway (KMDW); Gary (KGYY), and Trenton (KTTN).
