Our Technologies Enable Navigation Now and in the Future

As a trusted leader with decades of experience, Honeywell has been engineering and manufacturing high-performance navigation products for applications across industries.

Honeywell’s high-performance inertial measurement units (IMUs) and HGuide navigation systems are designed to withstand the harshest operating environments in the air, on land or at sea.

At the 2022 XPONENTIAL event organized by the Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI), Honeywell announced three new advanced navigation systems:

The expanded HGuide product line leverages Honeywell’s legacy of aerospace navigation expertise to bring a variety of industry-leading navigation systems at multiple price and performance points.

Honeywell solutions help industries deliver

“We formed the HGuide team five years ago to bring the extraordinary benefits of Honeywell inertial-based navigation technology to the industrial world. With the new products launched today, we continue to offer our customers the right features and capabilities at the right price points,” said Paul Farah, General Manager of Honeywell’s HGuide Industrial Navigation business unit.

Honeywell inertial measurement and navigation systems are used on nearly every aircraft flying today and are trusted by millions of passengers to navigate them to their destination every day. Through the HGuide product suite, Honeywell inertial measurement and navigation products not only serve the needs of our aerospace customers but several emerging customer applications as well. These include autonomous vehicles, communications, marine, mobile mapping, oil and gas, platform stabilization and more.

An inertial navigation system is comprised of an IMU, a GNSS receiver and sensor fusion software. These components work together to calculate position, orientation and velocity to deliver critical navigation information in GNSS-denied areas like urban canyons, bridges, tunnels, mountains, parking garages, and dense forests.

Innovation is in the DNA of Honeywell. We’re navigating the future of flight and working with industrial customers to bring those new navigation capabilities to the future of transportation.
