Mark VIII EGPWS
Overview
The Mark VIII enhanced ground proximity warning system (EGPWS) offers many features and interfaces found in other EGPWS products like Mark V and Mark VII but the system configuration is controlled via a programmable module instead of aircraft strapping.
The Mark VIII uses Air Transportation Association (ATA) format personal computer memory card international association (PCMCIA) cards for easy software and database loading. These cards can be read or programmed by any personal computer with the appropriate interface.
