When can I use equivalent equipment/tooling to perform repairs?

In almost all cases, Honeywell's technical publications state that "You can use equivalent alternatives for the special tools, fixtures, equipment, and consumable materials unless specified differently. The user must find equivalent alternatives."

Honeywell kindly asks that you rely on their organization’s own engineering authority to determine equivalency.  Honeywell cannot make the determination on your behalf.

If the equivalent alternative/substitute will fulfill the requirements in the procedure, then it would be acceptable to use.

Many of the tools, fixtures, equipment, and consumable materials in Honeywell's manuals are commercially available, and vendor information is provided.  You may contact the vendors and/or manufacturers to obtain material/product specifications. Often, the information may be found elsewhere on the internet.

How can I get Honeywell GSS tooling drawings?

Honeywell drawings are rarely shared. Honeywell GSS is not allowed to share manufacturing drawings or technical information on any tooling with our customers unless there is a contractual requirement or a signed agreement with Honeywell.

Where can I get the Certificate of Conformance (CoC) for my recently purchased item?

The certificate of quality conformance for items purchased from Honeywell Ground Support Solutions is located in the lower left corner of the shipping document as shown in this image:

How can I request Honeywell GSS Technical Publications?

Honeywell frontline employees are not allowed to distribute any technical documents to the customers directly due to Export Control regulations.
To order Honeywell GSS technical documents, you should go to “Technical Publications”.

Honeywell Tech Pubs Order Management team handles all the technical document inquiries from the operators.

Tech Pubs Order Management functions:
- Responsible for processing all customer requests for Technical Publication for paper, CD, or online access 
- Responsible for the distribution and in partnership with Legal/Licensing on the control of Technical Publication documents
- Responsible for all Billing and Invoicing of Technical Publications
- Responsible for timely notification to customers for upcoming Subscription Renewals

We have an Authorized Service Center that coordinates and/or performs all our repairs and calibrations.  Please send an email to Value Tool Engineering, RMA@ValueToolEng.com and copy aerogsesupport@honeywell.com to coordinate this effort.

Curvic Masters calibration:

Curvic masters require yearly calibration.  If item is bought and not used for a significant period of time and the calibration due date has passed, curvic master would need to be calibrated again to keep them in service.  If you need your curvic masters calibrated, please send an email to Value Tool Engineering, RMA@ValueToolEng.com and copy aerogsesupport@honeywell.com to coordinate this effort.

Can the calibration period of a Curvic Master be extended?

No.  Once the Curvic calibration lab has completed their annual inspection, they do not know how the Curvic Master has been handled, stored, or used, and will not take responsibility for extending the calibration.

Where can I get information with regards to Engine/APU shipping containers and repair parts?

Honeywell has 2 Licensed Shipping Container Suppliers.  Please contact them for your shipping container needs.
