Satellite Guidance and Attitude Control

Satellite Guidance and Attitude Control

Miniature inertial measurement unit is the system of choice for commercial and military programs with proven space flight heritage.

Think small. That was our focus when we partnered with Draper Laboratory to make micro electromechanical sensors (MEMS) technology work in guidance and navigation systems. A high-performance inertial package which used to require 33 cubic inches of space will be reduced to 2 cubic inches. Making it smaller and lighter has made it more economical. It's also the next big step to putting sophisticated guidance controls on a chip.

Some additional facts:

  • Tailored and enhanced our high-volume military inertial product for space applications
  • Based on inertial measurement system of choice for future high-volume commercial and military programs
  • Low cost, lightweight, low power, tactical performance
