The HGT1700 auxiliary power unit (APU) is derived from Honeywell’s 331 series APU, optimized for the Airbus A350 XWB and incorporates industry-leading technological advancements to reduce weight, maximize performance and provide safe, efficient and low-cost operations.
Combined with the integration of critical mechanical systems reducing aircraft weight, the HGT1700 demonstrates a 10 percent reduction in specific APU fuel use and an equivalent reduction in carbon monoxide emissions.
Variable speed provides reduced fuel burn and emissions along with a lower weight starter/generator system. This additional capability makes the HGT1700 the most energy-efficient APU in its class.
