Honeywell Start-up Accelerator

Honeywell Start-up Accelerator is an accelerator program by Honeywell Aerospace India for startups to build, test and scale cutting edge technology solutions/MVOs that will shape the future of aviation. Startups get access to enterprise expertise, lab infrastructure, validation from industry stalwarts, opportunity to build strong partnerships, potential scale-up possibilities beyond aerospace as well as paid pilot opportunities to co-create with our aerospace business units. The program is executed in collaboration with LINK Innovations, a global innovation and learning hub with a legacy of 20 years in the innovation ecosystem.

Below are just some of the challenge areas Honeywell Start-up Accelerator is looking for innovations in. If you have innovations in these or other aerospace areas, reach out today:

1. Sustainability and zero emission solutions such as:
   • Novel methods to increase Fuel Cell system power density, including fuel cell stack and balance of plant
   • On-board Hydrogen Storage Solutions 
   • Low Emission Combustor technology for Hydrogen based gas turbines
   • Solutions enabling carbon offsets for Aviation


2. More precise and reliable Position, Navigation and Timing innovations such as
   • Novel navigation grade inertial sensor technologies with low C-SWAP (Cost, Size, Weight and Power)
   • Next Generation oscillators / Atomic clocks / Precision timing technologies
   • Alternative navigation solutions for GPS denied environments using Signals of Opportunity
   • Curated, high resolution databases (such as imagery, RSO, magnetic anomaly, gravity anomaly, radar & lidar point clouds) that can be used for Alternative Navigation


3. Counter- UAS (unmanned aircraft systems)
   • Low Altitude Sky Based Counter – UAV solutions


4. Digital Twin solutions that accelerate development and deployment of digital twin across the product lifecycle


5. Hybrid Connectivity solutions for aircraft


6. Autonomous flight solutions such as
   • Proven solutions that achieve partial to full autonomy in aviation
   • Novel Ground Control Solutions for Unmanned Aircraft Operations


7. Novel low cost LRU level Avionics solutions that enable better performance with reduced size and weight


8. Others - any other areas that do not fit into the 7 themes above ( a matured offering exists & startup is interested to apply for the program)

The program is divided into 3 major phases:

1. Define - Shortlisted start-ups will be invited for a bootcamp where the start-up would pitch the solution to our teams. Basis interest, the startup and Honeywell teams will create the action roadmap and KPIs for the pilot.
2. Execute - Startups will work with Honeywell teams on Proof of concepts to solve the challenges and deliver a working solution at the end of 6 months.
3. Demo - Showcase opportunity for the startups to Honeywell global teams and to the external corporate and VC ecosystem.

We are looking for mature startups who have a proven track record of deploying solutions at enterprise scale, strong team with the right technology & domain expertise and should be open to co-create and build solutions with Honeywell business teams.
