FMS 6.1 software provides many FMS enhancements that bring added efficiency and functionality to the cockpit:

• The inclusion of all non-precision approaches in the database allows the pilots to use the FMS in almost all approaches.
• With the growth to WAAS GPS (optional), LPV approach capability can be added in conjunction with compliance to ADS-B Out requirements.
• The lower minimums provided by LPV approaches could mean the difference between landing at a desired airport or diverting to an alternate airport. LPV provides capability to perform precision approaches even when precision ILS equipment is unavailable.
