More FTS webinars coming in 2022.

In the fourth quarter of 2021, Honeywell’s Flight Technical Services (FTS) group began a new series of technical webinars.  In 2022 we will be adding new topics like VNAV and Datalink. Continue reading to see where you can view the previously recorded webinars, the topics, and where to find upcoming webinar dates.

The first webinar was on Understanding Weather Radar.

This webinar is a short course on airborne weather radar operation, designed to provide pilots with practical information about how to correctly use radar. It will provide an understanding of what a radar can, and cannot do, providing pilots with the information they need to operate radar in the real world. The basic underlying principles apply to all manufacturer's legacy radar systems and aircraft types.

Our second webinar discussed threat and error management and the Synthetic Vision System.

This webinar is a short explanation of the images and features displayed on Honeywell’s Synthetic Vision System designed to provide pilots with practical information about how to interpret symbology and use additional flight guidance indicators. It will provide an understanding of what various symbols indicate and how to use performance indications such as the Flight Path Vector.

Our third webinar covered Performance Based Navigation.

This webinar is a short explanation of the different types of Performance Based Navigation procedures. It will provide an understanding of the differences between RNAV, RNP and describe the requirements between RNP, A-RNP, and RNP AR instrument procedures.
