Primus EliteTM Advanced Features and NZ FMS 6.1 Features Deep Dive Training Videos Now Available

Honeywell is excited to announce two new Familiarization Training videos available on the Pilot Gateway: Primus EliteTM Advanced Features (PEAF) and FMS 6.1 Features Deep Dive.

Primus EliteTM Advanced Features (PEAF) Video

The Primus EliteTM Advanced Features Pilot video offers a description of the FMS 6.1 upgrade in detail, including:

  • System overview
  • Primary Flight Display Synthetic Vision System (PFD SVS) features
  • How to operate the Cursor Control Device (CCD)
  • DU-875 Multifunction Display (MFD) features
  • Video Display capabilities
  • Description of the additions to the Maintenance pages

The PEAF video provides pilots with a thorough understanding of Honeywell’s Primus EliteTM Advanced Features as well as contact information for any additional questions or concerns. To access the PEAF video, click here.

Honeywell NZ FMS 6.1 Features Deep Dive Video

The NZ FMS 6.1 Deep Dive video covers the key features of FMS 6.1, including:

  • Temperature Compensation (TempComp), including operational guidance, FAA requirements, and references
  • Vectors to Final
  • Multiple approaches to the same runway
  • RNAV/RNP-type approaches and requirements
  • Automatic LNAV during Go-Around
