Honeywell To Present Latest Engine Improvements At Heli Expo 2018

Honeywell to Present Latest Engine Improvements at Heli-Expo 2018

Heli-Expo 2018, the world's largest helicopter trade show and exhibition, takes place this year Feb. 26 to March 1 in Las Vegas and Honeywell is poised to impress with up-to-date technical product and maintenance information on our turboshaft engines.

Jim Ebken, Honeywell’s Principal Product Support Engineer, will provide an overview of the T53, LTS101 and HTS900 turboshaft engine programs, share the latest engine operational data and talk about the company’s technical improvements and plans for the engines.

Ebken will discuss upcoming 2018 improvements including lower-cost performance enhancements and the extended cycle life power turbine rotor that will continue to save operators time and money.

“We’re constantly looking for input on ways to improve our products to support customer needs with performance, quality and reliability to reduce your cost of ownership,” Ebken said. “This is a great opportunity for light helicopter operators and aircraft and powerplant technicians to make yourself heard and get the information you need to successfully complete your helicopter missions.”

Other Honeywell and channel partner technical experts will also participate in the presentation.

The T53 technical briefing is set for Tuesday, Feb. 27 at 1 p.m. and the LTS101 / HTS900 briefing follows at 2 p.m. Ebken, a long-time member of the HAI Technical Committee, will also be presenting an update of the latest HAI Tech Committee Briefing on Risk Assessment for Maintenance on Feb. 28 at noon.

Sponsored by the HAI Technical Committee, these briefings meet FAA requirements for training hours towards renewal of inspection authorization certificates.

The annual Helicopter Association International (HAI) HELI-EXPO with an estimated 20,000 attendees is the premier venue for the global helicopter industry to learn about the latest heli solutions and build professional relationships. The 2018 edition will offer a million square feet of exhibit and meeting space with 700 exhibitors. Helicopters fly in Feb. 23-24 and fly-out March 1-2.

Honeywell Aerospace, long a major player at the annual helicopter trade show, will greet customers and industry partners at Booth #C1329.
