Flight Sentinel – We’ve Got Your Back, 24/7/365

Flight Sentinel – We’ve Got Your Back, 24/7/365

It helps to have service partners with connections. That’s what a Gulfstream G600 pilot discovered recently at Fulton County Executive Airport near Atlanta as he waited for his C-Suite passenger and his party to arrive for a flight to Puerto Rico.

“I called for clearance and was told that I should expect a ground hold of at least 1 hour and 40 minutes due to weather conditions over Florida that caused the Jacksonville Center to shut down,” the pilot remembers. “I had no tools at my disposal to evaluate and avoid the delay. Sitting on the ground for an extended period is not anyone’s idea of a good time. I was getting ready to share the bad news with my passengers before they arrived when it occurred to me to give Honeywell Forge Flight Sentinel a call.”

Honeywell Forge Flight Sentinel offers a unique service that makes life easier for corporate flight departments, gives pilots a hand when they need it most and improves the flying experience for business jet passengers.  Flight Sentinel takes critical flight planning, flight following and problem-solving tasks off operators’ shoulders and helps create a “no sweat” experience for pilots and their passengers.

“I called the Flight Sentinel team and described my situation,” the pilot said. “They returned my call within 10 minutes to tell me they had cancelled my original flight plan and filed a new one that avoided the Jacksonville Center. The new flight plan would take me straight east around the closed area to Charleston, South Carolina, then southeast to San Juan – avoiding the weather problems altogether.”

“Thanks to Flight Sentinel, the whole issue was resolved before my passengers arrived at the airplane totally unaware that their schedule was ever in jeopardy,” he added. “I received my clearance, fired up the engines and we left Fulton County on schedule.”
