Customer Feedback Prompts New Maintenance Service Plan

Customer Feedback Prompts New Maintenance Service Plan

  • HTF Nacelle Maintenance Service Plan

For more than four decades business aircraft operators have counted on Honeywell’s signature Maintenance Service Plan (MSP) to protect their investment, manage repair and maintenance spending, and provide true peace of mind. The company recently expanded coverage under its popular MSP-Propulsion program to include the option of protecting the engine nacelles on your Honeywell HTF7000-series engines.

WE TAKE CUSTOMER FEEDBACK SERIOUSLY

“We launched the HTF Nacelle MSP last year in response to feedback from customers who wanted to protect their engine nacelles from corrosion and other problems that can lead to expensive repairs and unscheduled aircraft downtime,” said Jack Tadvick, Honeywell MSP sales representative.

“Our customers became particularly aware of the need to cover their propulsion systems, including the nacelles, during the pandemic when most operators were flying fewer hours,” he continued. “Bringing an engine back online after a long period of idleness can reveal all sorts of problems.

WHAT IS AN AIRCRAFT NACELLE?

The nacelle is a housing that attaches the engine to the aircraft’s fuselage, protects vital engine components and improves aerodynamics during flight. Thrust reversers are also part of the nacelle. They help the airplane slow down after landing, saving wear and tear on brakes and enabling landings on shorter runways.

With Honeywell HTF Nacelle MSP coverage, you receive comprehensive nacelle protection for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. The plan includes routine inspections, corrosion coverage, on-wing treatment and repair, and under the MSP HTF Preferred option, replacement of nacelle components if they can’t be repaired. The program is fully transferable, increases aircraft marketability and may increase the value of your aircraft on resale, according to Tadvick.

“We also added a Nacelle Gold program that provides additional protection and includes things like 24/7 logistical support during aircraft on the ground situations, mobile team allowances and rental asset priority,” he added.

HONEYWELL’S MSP NACELLE PROGRAM OFFERS ULTIMATE CONVENIENCE

HTF Nacelle MSP coverage can be easily added by operators whose Honeywell HTF7000 engines are enrolled in the MSP-Propulsion program, Tadvick said.

“Adding the optional nacelle coverage is the best way for operators to make sure they have comprehensive propulsionsystem protection with the only option approved by the engine original equipment manufacturer – Honeywell.”
