Medical Operators Connect With Masco And Tracker III

Medical Operators Connect with MASCO & Tracker III

Leading air medical service operators know where to turn for flight data management (FDM) solutions that do more than just comply with the new FDM mandate. Honeywell and premier channel partner MASCO Service Corporation provide the best system flying with Sky Connect Tracker III Advanced – the enhanced version of the industry’s most capable mission management system.

“Honeywell has continuously improved Sky Connect Tracker III capabilities to keep up with the needs of helicopter operators, particularly air medical service providers,” said Kevin Fraley, MASCO outside sales director. “The current system goes well beyond the basic requirements. It uses connected aircraft technologies to provide simultaneous tracking, voice and data communications along with digital mapping, private push to talk network and other capabilities, as well as full FDM functionality.”

Honeywell and MASCO make a great team, Fraley continued. “We’ve been working with Honeywell for more than three decades,” he said. “Honeywell has the avionics experience, SATCOM innovations and brand recognition to create great technology and we’ve got the depth and flexibility to bring all the benefits of the system to helicopter operators.”

MASCO manufactures, distributes and services Sky Connect Tracker III Advanced for operators flying a wide range of helicopter missions including air medical services, search and rescue, law enforcement, oil and gas, and homeland security.

MASCO is currently working with the largest U.S. air medical service provider, Air Methods, which is installing the system on some 450 air ambulances, and is testing the system with a major defense contractor on UH-60 helicopters.

Sky Connect Tracker III lets operators track aircraft in real time using the Iridium satellite network, Fraley noted. “Operators can track every helicopter’s exact position, which cuts dispatch time and improves patient outcomes in the air medical services business. They also can download critical information about mechanical-system performance from the Health and Usage Monitoring System and keep track of miles and hours flown to ensure billing accuracy.”

MASCO knows the aviation business. The company celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. While it’s grown significantly over the past five decades, MASCO has never strayed too far from founder Bill Massey’s vision of “providing prompt, quality service at a reasonable price.”

“We’re a second-generation, family-owned and operated business, committed to delivering customized support solutions and being an extension of our customers’ flight operations teams,” Fraley said. “We have two locations – Dallas and Lafayette, La. – and more than 60 skilled technicians on staff. But this is still a place where a handshake means a lot, our commitment and where we place high value on keeping our promises.”
