What is a DU-1080 Cockpit Display?

Honeywell’s KDU-1080 cockpit display unit for Leonardo AW-139 and Embraer AgustaWestland platforms enables safer flight by providing pilots with a higher-resolution display of critical flight information.

Will Honeywell Replace Holder DU-1080 Units?

The original DU-1080 forward display units are now almost 20 years old and, due to obsolete components in these older units, Honeywell can no longer guarantee to repair the original ones. Fortunately for existing customers, we have an upgrade available for the DU-1080.

This upgrade isn’t just about obsolescence – it’s about dramatically improving your aircraft’s reliability and value. The DU-1080 is more than a simple display update – by upgrading today, you’ll also ensure your cockpit is future-proofed for tomorrow’s next-generation avionics functionality and capabilities. The displays are compatible with Honeywell’s latest avionics upgrades for the AW139 and AgustaWestland.

How does the DU-1080 Cockpit Display work?

The DU-1080-3 is a certified interchangeable and intermixable replacement for DU-1080-1 or DU-1080-2 on Embraer and Leonardo helicopters. Note that advanced technologies introduced do not permit a DU-1080-3 to be used with the earlier display units.

DU-1080-3 is also a requirement for the display of advanced features, including a synthetic vision system, integrated nav, and electronic charts and maps. A full shipset of DU-1080-3 is required before installing the Advanced Features.
