FalconConnect Operators: We’ve Got Your Back

Teleconferencing with the main office, watching the big game or live-streaming a movie – all at 40,000 feet – may seem like a modern miracle. But fast, reliable, always-available in-flight Wi-Fi isn’t about magic. It’s about teamwork.

“Dassault Aviation and Honeywell came together in 2018 to create a simple, seamless and flexible all-in-one connectivity solution for Dassault Falcon business jet operators,” said Carlos Brana, Executive Vice President of Civil Aircraft.

“Together we conducted extensive development and testing to evaluate and select the most reliable, flexible, best-value connectivity offerings for cockpit, passenger cabin and ground services. The aircraft connectivity architecture was defined, tested and validated by Dassault, he added. “The result is FalconConnect.”

FalconConnect is powered by Honeywell’s signature Honeywell Forge services platform and backed by a 24/7/365 Dassault-Honeywell efficient global support network. The offering has been extremely well-received by Dassault Falcon operators, who give FalconConnect high marks for reliability and ease of use.

Key to the service’s success has been dedicated teams of aircraft connectivity technical specialists in the field and at operations centers in Paris and Phoenix. Falcon operators are never more than a phone call or email away from a Honeywell Forge specialist, a single point of contact who can provide support in real time or quickly find the right answer. This team of experienced technical-support engineers can be dispatched to an aircraft at a remote location for troubleshooting if necessary.

With FalconConnect, operators have access to services that make FalconConnect a preferred choice for leveraging their connectivity investment. With industry-leading pricing and features that allow operators to maximize the efficiency of bandwidth use, FalconConnect estimates operators could save up to $100,000 per year for each aircraft in the fleet in connectivity charges alone.

As part of the FalconConnect service, operators have tools to manage streaming video, which consumes the lion’s share of data for most operators, reducing data usage by as much as 60 percent. Users also have access to FalconConnect Access, a tool that allows operators who charter their aircraft to customize how charter customers pay for connectivity services and control runaway data usage and expense during charter flights.

FalconConnect customers have access to the FalconConnect Manager app, which makes it fast and easy to check the onboard Wi-Fi network status, number of connected devices, view coverage maps and find ways to restore connectivity when issues occur. The FalconConnect Portal is a web-based tool that provides real-time information on data usage, aircraft location and services that are activated.
