HG3900 MEMS Inertial Measurement Unit

Overview
The next generation HG3900 IMU is the first IMU that uses MEMS (microelectromechanical system) technology to create a low size, weight and power (SWaP) package that performs as well or better than IMUs using fiber optic gyroscope (FOG) or ring laser gyroscope (RLG) technology.

Specifications

Key Differentiators

  • Features & Benefits

    • First all silicon MEMS gyroscopes and accelerometers IMU to perform better than RLG, FOG & quarts-MEMs IMUs
    • Highly robust, ruggedized to tolerate high vibration, shock and dynamic thermal environments
    • Performance has been validated over full environments by U.S. Army / NTA labs
    • Small size (3.1 x 3.0 inches), and low weight (less than 2 pounds)
    • Superior performance vs. similar size RLG and FOG-based IMUs
