Overview
Honeywell model 8508584-501 (LHCP) and -502 (RHCP) are high-efficiency, planar, cavity-backed spiral antennas designed and qualified for military aircraft. These antennas deliver wideband performance and semi-constant beamwidth typical of spiral designs, with enhanced efficiency. Housed in a compact 3-inch diameter, they provide greater than 0 dBiL boresight gain across the entire operating band. Efficiency gains are especially notable at the low end of the band, where they outperform typical absorber-loaded spiral antennas by 2 dB.
