ABOUT VMI FLEX
The Honeywell Aerospace VMI FLEX program is the optimum supplier partnership designed to simplify replenishment, making it easier than ever to deliver on-time, quality parts to meet Honeywell requirements.
Joining the VMI FLEX program will synchronize our supply chains, resulting in improved operational efficiencies, inventory optimization, delivery, and the reduction of transactional waste.
VMI PROGRAM SPECIFICS
- Supplier produces goods in alignment to Honeywell consumption and forecast signals to replenish inventory levels, ensuring minimum inventory is maintained
- Allows suppliers the flexibility to ship what they want, when they want, improving supplier efficiency
- VMI FLEX part candidates will be identified by following the Honeywell “Plan for Every Part” strategy
- All new business awards through Honeywell’s e-auction process integrates the VMI FLEX strategy on all candidate parts
- Removes push/pull volatility signals from Honeywell to signal replenishment
- Inventory ownership transfer occurs only when parts are pulled from secured vendor location for Honeywell use
