Spirit Aeronautics announces the addition of Honeywell Aerospace Engine and APU Service Center authorization to its Honeywell Avionics Service Center status, which the company has proudly maintained for over 25 years. This expansion, timed with Spirit Aeronautics’ 25th anniversary, reflects the company’s continued investment in advanced maintenance capabilities and OEM-level technical support for business aviation operators.

Details of New Honeywell Engine and APU Authorizations

Under this new authorization, Spirit Aeronautics is approved to perform line maintenance and repair services on Honeywell TFE- and HTF-series engines, installed on aircraft such as the Bombardier Challenger 300/350, Embraer Legacy 450/500 and Praetor 500/600. The line maintenance certification also includes the Honeywell 36-150 APU family, supporting a broad range of business jets including the Gulfstream G200, Dassault Falcon 2000 and Falcon 900 series.

Investment in Training and Equipment

To achieve this capability, Spirit invested significantly in OEM-provided engine training, specialized maintenance tooling, test equipment and expanded staffing. Honeywell-certified technicians have completed advanced training programs covering line and maintenance tasks, ensuring all authorized engine and APU work meets the latest Honeywell maintenance standards and documentation requirements.

Honeywell MSP-Approved Service Provider Benefits

As a Honeywell MSP-approved service provider, Spirit Aeronautics is now qualified to perform both scheduled and unscheduled engine and APU Line Maintenance on aircraft enrolled in Honeywell MSP and MSP Gold programs. This allows operators to have warranty-covered services completed under Spirit’s highly credentialed FAA Repair Station—minimizing downtime while maintaining full program benefit continuity through Honeywell Aerospace.

“Our expanded Honeywell authorization positions Spirit Aeronautics to provide complete OEM-supported maintenance solutions under one roof," said Rick Ochs, President of Spirit Aeronautics. “By combining our new engine & APU service capabilities with our well-established avionics expertise, we deliver fully integrated support that enhances aircraft dispatch reliability and downtime maintenance event efficiencies.”

Comprehensive Maintenance Solutions Offered

With these capabilities, Spirit Aeronautics now offers full-spectrum aircraft maintenance solutions including major scheduled inspections, powerplant and APU servicing and complex avionics system integrations. These enhancements reduce the need for multiple maintenance stops, maximize aircraft availability and streamline support for flight departments. Spirit's team is always laser-focused on providing professional grade support by offering the best in highly skilled services, significantly saving clients in costs of downtime and money. Spirit Aeronautics continues to expand both its technical workforce and maintenance infrastructure to meet customer demand, reinforcing its reputation as a trusted partner to business jet owners, operators and maintenance professionals worldwide.
