The Common Framework Processing System (CFPS) is a standards-based digital processing environment for complex satellite-based applications that require extensive on-board payload data processing.
Designed with the VITA-78 SpaceVPX standard, the CFPS will provide common solutions to chassis, backplane interfacing, interconnect, power distribution, redundancy and command and control to support just about any complex payload data processing function.
Built on the heritage of Honeywell’s experience providing complex digital processing solutions for USG satellite systems, the CFPS provides an open-architecture framework for customers to incorporate their own proprietary designs and still leverage existing infrastructure electronics, saving significant time and money.
