Overview

Honeywell's HSD-Xi channel extension terminal adds additional data and voice capability to MCS-7120, HSD-440 and HSD-400 systems with a SwiftBroadband (432Kbps) or Swift 64 (64kbps) channel. The 2-modular concept unit terminal expands the system's capacity for additional voice, and Internet connectivity in the cabin.

The HSD-Xi high-speed data terminal is used to increase the number of channels in an existing satellite communications system operating Inmarsat's SwiftBroadband or Swift 64 voice and data services.

The terminal provides one additional voice or data channel, increasing the system's capacity. The HSD-Xi provides high quality ISDN or low cost Mini-M voice calls, and high speed fax capability (G3 at 14.4 kbps or G4 at 64 kbps), high speed data connectivity at rates up to 432 kbps and can be installed in pressurized or unpressurized environments.
