We know the past couple of years have been challenging and our performance is causing strain on your operations. Our focus in 2023 can be summed up with three key initiatives: Increase the output of repairs from our R&O shops; reduce past due backlog in our repair facilities and improve our fidelity regarding estimated ship dates.
Earlier this year, Honeywell Aerospace Technologies introduced a new leader to the AOG team. Ryan Soethe, a long time Honeywell employee with significant experience in the Integrated Supply Chain organization, quickly identified several actions to help improve Customer engagement and provide a higher level of support despite a record increase in AOG requests. Check below to learn the initiatives that have been identified and implemented to mitigate AOG issues.
The aerospace industry is in an unprecedented time of growth. Honeywell has many industry-leading products such as Auxiliary Power Units and Avionics systems that have almost double the demand increases for our airlines customers and new aircraft build requirements. Honeywell has been driving significant effort into building more capacity in our supply base to continue to deliver more products to our customers. You can check below how we are working to resolve supplier challenges.
As demand for our Aerospace products continues to ramp up, the output needed from our supply base will need to increase significantly. Honeywell’s OEM/Spare demand is forecasted to increase by 16.3% YoY, while R&O demand is expected to increase even more by 23% YoY. To meet these increased demands, Honeywell must ensure that our critical supply base is positioned to deliver the required quantities of material when needed, every time.
