Common Actuator Controller Project

Project title: Common Actuator Controller
Registration number: CZ.01.1.02/0.0/0.0/20_321/0024308
Period of execution: 2021 -2022
Project partner: Technical University of Ostrava - Centre for Energy and Environmental technologies

The project is focused on the research and development of a new generation of modular control units for advanced aviation actuators. These will find use in the next generation of aviation platforms known as More Electric Aircraft (MEA) and subsequently in the next generations of fully-electric aircraft (Full / All Electric Aircraft).

The main goal of the presented project is the research and development of a completely new concept of a modular control unit for electro-mechanical drives, specifically for the control of primary and secondary control surfaces of the aircraft with future expansion into areas such as brakes, landing gear etc.

Project outputs:

  • Prototype of Modular Control System for actuators
  • Functional sample of Input Module of Modular Control System
  • Functional sample of laboratory equipment for testing

The project is co-funded by the European Union and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Czech Republic
