Honeywell Aerospace is building a secure AUKUS framework to support Australia’s submarine industrial base.

DEFENCE INNOVATIONS

Honeywell’s AUKUS SIB Program accelerates the uplift of Australian industry by preparing suppliers to securely participate in the Virginia Class Submarine supply chain through harmonized Australian‑U.S. security uplift, digital assurance, and CMMC‑aligned accreditation.

8,500 direct industrial jobs

At peak activity, up to 8,500 direct industrial jobs will be supported in Australia for building and sustaining the submarines.

AUKUS is a trilateral security partnership between Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States focused on strengthening stability in the Indo‑Pacific region. Through Pillar I, AUKUS enables Australia to establish a sovereign, conventionally armed nuclear‑powered submarine capability with long‑term industrial and workforce development. Pillar II accelerates collaboration on advanced defense technologies—including AI, quantum, cyber, undersea, hypersonics, and electronic warfare—to enhance interoperability and future‑ready capabilities.

Advancing digital assurance and secure data‑handling to support Virginia‑class and SSN‑AUKUS programs.
