Honeywell, ST Engineering Drive Defense Modernization in Asia Pacific with New MOU
- Initiative targets retrofit, upgrade and sustainment innovation for defense aviation operators across the region.
SINGAPORE – Feb. 4, 2026 – Honeywell (NASDAQ: HON) today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with ST Engineering’s Defence Aerospace business to explore collaborations supporting defense aviation operators across the Asia-Pacific region.
Under the MOU, Honeywell and ST Engineering will evaluate potential solutions focused on retrofit, modification, upgrade and sustainment for military aircraft operators. The initiative intends to leverage Honeywell’s advanced aerospace technologies together with ST Engineering’s deep expertise in defense aviation engineering and maintenance, repair and overhaul.
Together, the companies will assess opportunities including the potential establishment of a retrofit, modification and upgrade center of excellence and maintenance capabilities for Honeywell’s avionics systems.
“As defense modernization needs across Asia Pacific continue to evolve, this MOU reflects Honeywell’s strategic intent to expand support with trusted regional industry leaders,” said Sathesh Ramiah, vice president, Defense and Space, Asia Pacific, Honeywell Aerospace. “By aligning Honeywell’s advanced aerospace technologies with ST Engineering’s strong local capabilities, we are exploring ways to support long-term mission readiness, resilience and sustainment for defense operators in the region.”
