Honeywell, Ametek Singapore Sign Repair Licensing Agreement For Flight Recorders

SINGAPORE, 21 FEBRUARY 2024 – At Singapore Airshow 2024, Honeywell (NASDAQ: HON) today announced a repair licensing agreement with AMETEK Singapore for flight recorders on Airbus A320, A330, and A340, and Boeing 737NG, 737Max, and 777 aircraft. This repair licensing agreement with AMETEK Singapore for Honeywell Flight Data Recorders (FDR) and Cockpit Voice Recorders (CVR) will be the first for both parties in Asia-Pacific.

The repair licensing agreement between Honeywell and AMETEK Singapore will run for five years. This partnership extends the strategic collaboration between both parties, enhancing AMETEK’s recorder repair capabilities in the region and solidifying Honeywell’s position as an industry leader in flight recorders for the commercial aviation industry.

FDRs are critical as they passively collect large amounts of information from multiple sources during each flight. This includes cockpit voice (CV) data, or communication between pilots in the cockpit as well as between pilots and air traffic controllers. It also includes flight data (FD), or the in-flight performance of the aircraft systems.
