Honeywell And AMECO Join Forces To Advance Aviation Maintenance In Asia Pacific

SINGAPORE, 28 SEPTEMBER 2023 – At MRO Asia-Pacific 2023, Honeywell (NASDAQ: HON) announced an enhanced partnership with Air China’s Aircraft Maintenance & Engineering Corporation (AMECO) by signing a decade-long Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) maintenance authorisation agreement.

This agreement grants AMECO a global authorisation license, which allows it to enjoy technical and material support from Honeywell when providing auxiliary power unit maintenance services to international and domestic third-party customers in the future on 331-500 APU. As the only MRO in China with capacity to repair all major types of APU, this licensing agreement will enhance AMECO’s global competitiveness, and provide higher-quality, well-rounded APU maintenance services to the aviation industry."We are delighted to announce the signing of our agreement with AMECO for the global authorisation license and taking our collaboration to the next level,” said Eric Ai, Vice President, Airlines, Asia Pacific, Honeywell Aerospace. “The recovery and growth of the aviation and aerospace sectors, along with Honeywell’s technical and material support will augment AMECO’s capabilities for APU repairs. We look forward to greater synergies between both companies moving forward.”

"AMECO has always been at the forefront of aviation maintenance and engineering. Partnering with Honeywell enables us to leverage cutting-edge technology and expertise to not only enhance, but also expand our services. This collaboration aligns with our goal of providing our customers with the highest standards of support, and taking collaborative partnerships to a new level." said Ni Jiliang, Vice President of China National Aviation Holding Corporation and Vice president of Air China.

This agreement represents the most recent development in the longstanding partnership between Honeywell and AMECO, building on their long-standing strategic partnership on Auxiliary Power Unit maintenance since 2009.
