Honeywell, Alpha Star Aviation Strengthen Relationship with New Maintenance Service Plan for Gulfstream Fleet

Honeywell, Alpha Star Aviation Strengthen Relationship with New Maintenance Service Plan for Gulfstream Fleet

  •  Agreement to provide maintenance service plan for auxiliary power units, avionics and mechanical components

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, Dec. 07 , 2022 – Alpha Star Aviation Services, a leading private aviation operator based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, has selected Honeywell (NASDAQ: HON) to provide a maintenance service plan for auxiliary power units, avionics and mechanical components on its Gulfstream G450 fleet. The contract expansion provides Alpha Star with financial control and secures a hassle-free experience through an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) network of approved facilities.

Under the agreement, Honeywell will maintain five Gulfstream G450 aircraft over a five-year period. Alpha Star currently utilizes satellite communications via Honeywell Forge, Honeywell’s advanced connectivity solution, across its fleet, providing world-class support infrastructure to ensure all aspects of the cabin network, satcom equipment and ground network deliver continuous flow of data to ensure positive passenger experience. Honeywell has also previously supported the aircraft on a service plan that covered parts and labor.

“Honeywell’s maintenance service plan enables us to accurately allocate a budget and plan for aftermarket repair and maintenance — unplanned and scheduled maintenance — in advance,” said Abdulnasser Alkheraif, chief executive officer, Alpha Star.

“We look forward to extending our relationship with Honeywell,” said Mostafa S. Othman, engineering director, Alpha Star. “We appreciate their continuous support since our relationship began in 2017 and the flexibility of services Honeywell has provided.”

“Maintenance service plans help remove the financial uncertainty from future repairs and maintenance. We are proud to provide customers, like Alpha Star, with customizable maintenance options that keep aircraft operating efficiently while making it easy for our customers to control the unexpected,” said Nadya Krisko, senior director, Business Aviation, EMEAI, Honeywell Aerospace.

Honeywell provides flexible maintenance solutions and tailored services to operators across Middle East, Turkey, Africa and India, with services that cover auxiliary power units, engines and avionics content for LearJet, Embraer, Gulfstream, Dassault, Hawker, Bombardier, Cessna and Pilatus platforms.
