Honeywell And TP Aerospace Partner To Support The Orbis Flying Eye Hospital

LONDON, June 22, 2022 – Honeywell (NASDAQ: HON) and TP Aerospace, a leading aftermarket supplier of wheels and brakes, are partnering to support eye care nonprofit Orbis International and its Flying Eye Hospital. Jointly, Honeywell and TP Aerospace will provide wheels and brake material to support the ongoing maintenance services of the Orbis Flying Eye Hospital, the world’s only fully accredited ophthalmic teaching hospital on board a McDonnell Douglas MD-10 aircraft. The hospital is a state-of-the-art teaching facility complete with an operating room, classroom and pre- and post-operative room.

The five-year agreement between Honeywell, TP Aerospace and Orbis will provide significant cost savings on aircraft maintenance and downtime. As part of the license agreement, Honeywell and TP Aerospace will provide repair, overhaul and maintenance of Honeywell’s wheels and brakes on the McDonnell Douglas MD-10 aircraft.

Orbis is a global nonprofit organization that has been transforming lives through the prevention and treatment of avoidable blindness for four decades. Since 1982, the organization’s Flying Eye Hospital has delivered training to eye care teams in areas with the greatest need across 97 countries, helping them build the skills to fight blindness in their communities.
