Honeywell and SF Airlines Sign Spares Purchase Agreement

Honeywell and SF Airlines Sign Spares Purchase Agreement

  • Global spares supply and repair services ensure cargo airlines operate more efficiently

Zhuhai, CHINA, September 28 2021 – Honeywell (NASDAQ: HON) and SF Airlines Company Limited (SF Airlines) signed a spares purchase agreement at the 13th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition. Per the agreement, Honeywell will provide spares covering mechanical and avionic products for SF Airlines’ Boeing 747, 757 fleet and more. The global spare supply and repair services provided by Honeywell will help SF Airlines improve operational efficiency, further enhancing its competitive position in the marketplace.

Honeywell and SF Airlines have been longtime collaborators. Honeywell provided SF Airlines with support in terms of material supply, maintenance and repair service on components and full unit replacement in the previous cooperation.

“We are glad to further cooperate with SF Airlines. Honeywell and SF Airlines share the same values of safety, on-time performance and efficiency,” said Steven Lien, president of Honeywell China and Aerospace Asia Pacific. “With the rapid development of e-commerce on a global scale, the demand for the air cargo market has risen sharply. Leveraging our worldwide footprint and comprehensive products and services portfolio, Honeywell can provide timely maintenance and supply of key components to help cargo airlines achieve stable and efficient fleet operations.”

Chairman of SF Airlines Li Sheng said, “I am pleased to further deepen our cooperation with Honeywell. With Honeywell's global network and industry expertise, I believe that SF Airlines’ operational efficiency will be further improved. This will help SF Express better provide one-stop integrated logistics solutions, ensure that every delivery is safe and punctual, and create a first-class user experience for customers and end users.”

The air cargo sector is seeing an urgent need for parts, and an ability to get them quickly. As one of the fastest-growing modern logistics methods, air cargo has great potential for growth. An air cargo operation requires the aircraft fleet stay highly reliable to deliver the cargo to the end users in a timely manner. Therefore, the timely maintenance and repair service, as well as the supply of key components are important for achieving strict scheduled takeoff and landing intervals.
