Honeywell International Inc. Chooses ExecuJet Aviation Nigeria Ltd. in Expansion of African Cockpit Avionics Service and Support

Honeywell International Inc. Chooses ExecuJet Aviation Nigeria Ltd. in Expansion of African Cockpit Avionics Service and Support

  • Local and regional avionics support improved with West African base for business and general aviation services and upgrades.

ROLLE, Switzerland, Nov. 20, 2017 - Honeywell International Inc. (NYSE: HON) has selected ExecuJet Nigeria as an approved avionics dealer and installation and service facility for business aircraft owners in the Africa region. As the African business and general aviation market continues to expand, this arrangement enhances an owner or operator’s ease to modernize, upgrade and overhaul aircraft cockpits locally. With the ability to support West and North Africa more easily, local owners can now save time and expenses without the need to fly to Europe or South Africa for overhauls, upgrades or repairs.

“As a premier aviation company, we work with partners to support us with solid industry expertise and market leading technology - that’s where Honeywell International Inc. comes in,” said Graeme Duckworth, Executive Vice President MRO Services, Luxaviation Group. “In Africa, we can now offer the technology and services our customers need, so they can focus on the travel requirements of their clients and have access to our world-class expertise without leaving the continent.”

ExecuJet’s proximity to other regions provides business aircraft owners in West and North Africa use of its Lagos, Nigeria facility as a service point for their aircraft. These operators can take advantage of ExecuJet’s expertise in Honeywell International Inc.’s full suite of avionics, which includes key solutions for business and general aviation like the Honeywell Avionics Protection Plan (HAPP), which is aimed at protecting operators against the burden of unexpected maintenance costs.

“As the market for business and general aviation grows in the African region, so should the support structures that customers rely on,” said Rudolph Louw, Aerospace Leader for Africa, Honeywell International Inc. “Enhancing support in Africa and working with local businesses like ExecuJet Nigeria further demonstrates Honeywell International Inc.’s commitment to the region, especially as the supplier of products and services that are key to increase efficiency, safety and reliability of the area’s aircraft.”

As an approved avionics dealer, ExecuJet can provide support and services for avionics suite owners looking to maintain and improve their aircraft. This includes HAPP Services, Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast compliant transponders, connectivity solutions, Traffic Collision Avoidance Systems and Primus Elite flight deck improvements.
