Inside the FMS – ATN CPDLC Familiarization Guides - Available Now on the Honeywell Pilot Gateway

Inside the FMS – ATN CPDLC Familiarization Guides - Available Now on the Honeywell Pilot Gateway

Honeywell has just released two familiarization guides explaining the Aeronautical Telecommunications Network (ATN) CPDLC for Embraer E-Jets and Gulfstream G650. These in-depth publications walk through the very basics of CPDLC and provide inflight examples. They include:

  • Explanation of the ATN network
  • CPDLC overview
  • Logging on to the network
  • Transitioning to other Air Traffic Service Units
  • Making a request to ATC using ATN
  • Numerous in-flight examples

These guides are illustrated with step-by-step screenshots and easy to follow for anyone looking to expand their knowledge of CPDLC using ATN. The best part - they are available free of charge and are available on the Virtual Classroom in Honeywell’s Pilot Gateway.

Although they are specific to the Embraer E-Jets and Gulfstream G650, the menus are similar across most Honeywell-equipped aircraft and should help anyone looking to get a better understanding of the ATN procedures.

Please check them out and let us know what you think.
