Honeywell Showcases C-130 Upgrades at October Conferences

Six decades after the C-130 transport entered production, the Hercules is still a mainstay of more than 60 air forces around the world. That’s because Lockheed Martin, suppliers like Honeywell and channel partners like Derco, Kellstrom Aerospace and Aero Precision have kept the venerable aircraft relevant by adding capabilities to enhance safety, efficiency and mission-effectiveness.

Honeywell provides the C-130 with a wide range of modifications, retrofits and upgrades, with an emphasis on communications and flight safety technologies. Included are broadband satellite communications systems, weather radar, Traffic Collision Avoidance Systems (TCAS) and Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning Systems (EGPWS).

We’re also helping operators get ready to operate in the future air traffic management system and meet government requirements for installation of automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast (ADS-B Out) capabilities on their aircraft.

We’ll showcase these capabilities and more at two major events for C-130 operators in October. We’ll be at the Lockheed Martin-sponsored 30th Hercules Operators Conference (HOC) from October 15^th-18^th in Atlanta (Booth 62) and at the C-130 Technical Coordination Group International Technical Program Review from October 22^nd-26^th in Orlando (Booth 505).
