Honeywell Signs Distribution Agreement with S3 International for Air Turbine Starter Upgrade

For more than a half-century, commercial and military customers have turned to Honeywell Aerospace for reliable aircraft engine starters, including the industry-leading Air Turbine Starter. Honeywell Aerospace has recently selected S3 International as their exclusive distributer for the new Air Turbine Starter (ATS) upgrade for all UH-60 and H-1 Helicopter Platforms.

S3 International, is an industry leading business, focused on providing innovative solutions to military and commercial aviation worldwide. Honeywell’s agreement with S3 International will benefit and enhance the distribution of ATS products, while focusing on providing customers with high quality equipment that is safe, more reliable, and lightweight. The agreement defines that distribution of the upgraded product will be worldwide, apart from Japan.

UH-60 flight crews around the world can rely on Honeywell’s newest Air Turbine Starter upgrade (Part Number 3505300-10) because it provides higher reliability (4,000 hours MTBF), increased starting performance (14% more light-off torque) and lower lifecycle costs. Maintainability is enhanced by a new “fill to spill” oil neck, and “quick-drain” valve, which saves the maintainer about two hours of oil servicing time. In addition, the upgrade retains safety features from Honeywell’s previous configurations and is a drop-in replacement for all current starter configurations.
