Honeywell Helps Operators Connect With Affordable Financing

Honeywell Helps Operators Connect with Affordable Financing

It’s easier than ever for business jet operators in the Asia Pacific region to install the best Wi-Fi in the sky, thanks to an industry-leading financing plan offered by Honeywell and Japan’s Sojitz Corporation.

Operators can buy and install Honeywell’s JetWave satellite communications system without a big upfront investment and make affordable monthly payments with the JetWave Asset Program. The program, which is only available to Asia Pacific operators, will enable more aircraft to be equipped with the aviation industry’s fastest, most reliable and most-available in-flight connectivity solution.

The new plan was developed in response to the increasing demand for connected aircraft capabilities among Asia Pacific business jet operators, according to Amit Kaul, Leader of Business & General Aviation for Honeywell in the region.

“Together with Sojitz Corporation, we have developed a creative plan to lower the barrier of entry to Ka-band cabin connectivity, helping customers enjoy truly global high-speed Wi-Fi in an easy and affordable way,” he said. “The JetWave Asset Program provides an easy and flexible monthly payment scheme, covering both JetWave hardware and installation.”

JetWave powers Inmarsat’s Jet ConneX service, the most consistent, global high-speed broadband service for business jets. Jet ConneX enables passengers to videoconference, transfer large files, go online, stream videos and do anything else they can do on the ground – all at 40,000 feet. Honeywell offers affordable data plans with speeds of up to 15 Mbps.

Prior to this agreement, Sojitz Corporation’s client whose aircraft is managed by its subsidiary Phenix Jet was the first customer from Japan to install the JetWave hardware. Sojitz Corporation is a leading company in business jet segment in Japan for both aircraft sales and charter operation. The Sojitz Group consists of over 450 subsidiaries and affiliates located in Japan and throughout the world, developing wide-ranging general trading company operations in a multitude of countries and regions.
