DON NEYHARD

Field Service Engineer, Norwich, Connecticut

Don has been intrigued with aircraft and flight since he was young. That interest led to model airplanes, following by obtaining his private flying permit and logging solo hours.

He studied Communications at Pennsylvania College of Technology and then served as a Petty Officer Second Class Electronics Technician with the U.S. Coast Guard. Based in New Orleans, he spent three years maintaining high power transmitter systems.

Don moved to California after leaving the Coast Guard and worked as an avionics technician with Gulfstream before relocating to the East Coast and joining Honeywell in 2006.

His expertise includes flight management systems, autopilot, HF communications, EGPWS, TCAS and cabin management systems. He holds an FCC license.

Don’s hobbies include enduro motorcycling and bass fishing.
