Jack Farley Senior Field Service Engineer, Katy, Texas
When Jack is asked why he loves his life’s work, his positive response is simply: Who wouldn’t?
He’s worked on various jet engines from light to heavy maintenance, spent 110-degree days on the tarmac and been in a field R&R turbo aircraft at minus 10 degrees – not to mention testing engines after overhaul to building R&O shops. Jack sees this all this as “Every day is something new, that’s why love what I do.”
Jack became a welder in high school, using those skills to get into aviation. His expertise is in all levels of welding and being an A&P Mechanic, Level 2 NDT Inspector and Machinist II. He worked as a failure analysis inspector for Pratt & Whitney. He’s been awarded for failure analysis, field troubleshooting and line maintenance on the PT6A/T, JT15D, JT12, PW500, PW300, PW200, PW100, GE610, CF700, and Solar APU/T62T engines.
Earning the equivalent of a two-year degree with Mechanical Engineering and A&P courses and studies at the University of Minnesota and Rice Technical, Jack holds Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
Jack builds trust with his customers through one-on-one communication to help them navigate through forests of information and climb the AOG wall.
His free time is spent with his wife, adult children and grandkids; cycling, purchasing and overhauling turbine engines and project building.
