Danny Allen Senior Field Service Engineer, Southern California
Danny’s aviation journey started with discussions with his recruiter about jobs in the Marines that would translate best to the real world. Twenty years later, he’s glad he completed the Aviation Electrician’s Mate Course that allowed him to work on so many military, corporate, business and emergency services aircraft.
Today his expertise is with the Honeywell Primus Apex, Epic, Elite, 1000, 2000 and SPZ flight control systems, EGPWS, and flight management systems. He’s completed courses on Pratt and Whitney PT6 turbo props with certifications on many avionics product types and aircraft.
His career accomplishments include leading a team of technicians in developing and installing the first avionics package in the prototype Honda Jet with the Honda Engineering team. He also found it rewarding to spend many years outfitting law enforcement and rescue aircraft with the equipment required to perform lifesaving work.
Danny brings his motto of “whatever it takes” to his work, noting “we at times are the pilot’s lifeline on whether or not an aircraft can fly and we strive to make sure we keep them safely flying.”
He enjoys hiking, working out and riding dirt bikes and UTVs in the desert.
