The Time-Triggered Gigabit Ethernet (TTGbE) Network Switch Card (NSC) provides onboard communications between the subsystems. TT-GbE is a scaleable highly-deterministic full-duplex Ethernet-compliant network that supports conflict-free command and control using Time Triggered (TT) traffic, video data using Rate Constrained (RC) critical traffic and maintenance data using standard Ethernet Best Effort (BE) non-critical traffic on the same physical interface. The TTGbE NSC has 12 gigabit ports, handing 3 traffic classes, and is associated with one network plane. Sets of 3 switches are used for critical control and commanding.
