Honeywell's wireless data loading system offers Primus® 1000/2000 and Primus Elite® operators the ability to update their cockpit navigation databases wirelessly with the MyHDM (My Honeywell Data Manager) app for iPad.
Currently, operators are required to download database updates to physical media such as USB drives or floppy disks, which are then used to upload updates directly into the aircraft avionics. This takes time and can cause delays that no longer follow Federal Aviation Association (FAA) mandates. The wireless data loader for Primus 1000 / 2000 / Elite uses the certified Honeywell DL-1000 data loader, our MyHDM for iPad application to manage and update your aircraft databases and a commercial-off-the-shelf Wi-Fi secure digital (SD) memory card to connect the two.
This system eliminates the need for bulky media and streamlines data upgrades for pilots and operators. The wireless data loader combination saves time and delivers an efficient solution to make navigation database updates. In addition, it’s very simple to install and serves as a drop-in replacement for older data loaders.
