Honeywell Strengthens Its Long-Standing Relationship With Jeju Air By Providing New Aftermarket Solutions

SINGAPORE, Feb. 16, 2016 – Honeywell Aerospace (NYSE: HON) extended its existing aftermarket support contracts with Jeju Air, Korea’s largest low-cost carrier, by several years. Under this new agreement, Honeywell will continue to provide aftermarket support for Jeju Air’s existing fleet of 20 Boeing 737-800 airplanes in addition to its future fleet.

The agreement extends Honeywell’s existing wheels and brakes exchange program for seven years, and maintenance support for Honeywell’s 131-9B series Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) for five years. The agreement will provide Jeju Air with an efficient and cost-effective maintenance program to help reduce the airline’s overall cost of ownership in today’s low-cost carrier market.

In addition, Honeywell’s customized and predictable maintenance program for Jeju Air’s 131-9B APUs is a time-and-material model that charges set labor rates and the costs of parts with a price cap for repair costs.
