Honeywell’s Ovation Select Installed on Bombardier Global Express for Passenger Comfort and Efficiency

May 19, 2015 | GENEVA

Honeywell Aerospace’s (NYSE: HON) Ovation® Select cabin management and entertainment system has been installed aboard a Bombardier Global Express aircraft by Jet Aviation Geneva, adding to the growing fleet of business aircraft using the all-digital and customizable installation enabled by Ovation Select. Global Jet selected Honeywell and Jet Aviation Geneva for their strong support services in Europe and worldwide.

This aircraft is the latest to join a fleet of nearly 2,000 business jets with Honeywell Ovation cabin management systems flying around the world today. This installation allows Global Jet to enhance the flying experience of their passengers through improved efficiency, entertainment and comfort even at 40,000 feet.

Ovation Select allows business jet passengers to control the cabin environment, such as lighting and temperature; water system control; stream high-definition video and audio; and connect to in-flight Wi-Fi. In addition, they can integrate their consumer electronic devices, such as smartphones and tablets, putting productivity, entertainment and comfort at their fingertips.

Building on a long-term relationship to deliver a local team, regional program management and field support, Global Jet also selected Honeywell’s Batch 3 software upgrades customized for Bombardier, the CNX-200 router and the HD-710 satellite communications system upgrade to SwiftBroadband, as well as a three-year services agreement under the Honeywell Avionics Protection Plan (HAPP). Global Jet’s upgraded aircraft is available for charter.

Visit Honeywell at EBACE in Geneva, May 19−21, booth W089, to find out more about its full suite of business aviation offerings.
