The F124 is a low-bypass turbofan engine produced by the International Turbine Engine Company (ITEC), LLC, a joint venture between Honeywell and AIDC. It provides safe and reliable propulsion for the Alenia Aermacchi M346 and the Aero Vodochody L159.
The F124 features a dual FADEC control system that reduces pilot workload while improving overall safety. Its modular design and an integrated engine health monitoring system (EMS) reduce unplanned grounding and maintenance requirements to maximize mission readiness and lower operational costs.
The power-to-weight ratio is outstanding: 6300 pounds of thrust at only 1178 pounds.
The F124 and F125 engine family is proven, with over 650,000 flight hours, and is flying today.
