The clock is ticking for U.S. helicopter operators who need to equip their aircraft with Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast Out (ADS-B Out) avionics by the January 1, 2020 deadline.
Honeywell partner and leading avionics modifier Precision Aviation Group advises that operators shouldn’t wait too long to make arrangements to upgrade their systems. As the deadline approaches, required hardware may be in short supply and modification shops will be extremely busy. If you haven’t made your modification plans, now is the time!
Precision Aviation Group is working closely with Honeywell and the Honeywell BendixKing organization to develop solutions to meet the needs of operators of all sizes and helicopter models.
For Part 27 general aviation helicopters, BendixKing offers a full complement of products including the KT 74 ADS-B transponder and KGX-Series ADS-B transceiver. For Part 29 commercial helicopters, Honeywell provides a comprehensive suite of ADS-B compatible equipment, including the Primus Epic ADS-B transponder, the first certified for commercial helicopters.
Honeywell and BendixKing products enable a wide range of solutions for operators, depending on their helicopters current satellite communications and GPS capabilities. The experienced team at Precision Aviation Group can develop a custom ADS-B Out solution tailored to meet the individual operator’s needs.
