Your helicopters can’t achieve their missions if they’re on the ground awaiting unscheduled maintenance. Finding faults is half the battle, so anything the maintenance team can do to speed the troubleshooting process and get the helicopter back in the air is a real plus.
That’s the thinking behind MyMaintainer, a proven web-based tool and now a wireless app from Honeywell.
Available today for Finmeccanica AW139 operators flying with our Primus Epic integrated avionics system, the MyMaintainer app gives maintenance teams unprecedented access to the data they need to analyze faults, identify and fix problems, and return their helicopters to service.
Through the Primus Epic system, operators are able to gather data from various helicopter systems via a dedicated central maintenance computer. The MyMaintainer application lets maintenance crews retrieve fault history database (FHDB) files from the avionics system using a cable connection or the new Data LAN Management Unit – Wireless (DLMU-W). Then they can use our ground server to decode the FHDB files and extract useful information about the health of helicopter systems using intuitive graphics to display message data.
Whether you operate one helicopter or a whole fleet, the MyMaintainer website stores data for all your aircraft. When a fault is found, ground crews can check the entire fleet and identify potential problems before they occur.
Addition of the DLMU-W eliminates the need for using cables to transfer information and makes it easier and faster than ever for maintenance crews to access operational and fault data and – for the first time – view it on a smart mobile device.
Anticipated future improvements include the use of smart devices as MyMaintainer terminals, use of wearable technologies, structural fault reporting and links to Honeywell parts inventories.
